Today, as I finished my workout, I continue to be touched by the experience we had yesterday at the ALS walk. We received this letter from them, thanking all for the support. Please include them in your prayers. Thank-you, Mike Shallcross Team, The ALS Walk yesterday was an awesome event. The Shallcross family was blessed by all of our virtual walkers, walkers, and donators. We are blessed by your kindness and support. Together, we have raised over $6,500.00 with more dollars coming in. The Shallcross Team is one of the top ten contributing teams, and my wife is in the top ten for collecting individual contributions. I want to thank her for organizing Team Shallcross, and her strength. I will be starting a clinical study at OSU if they find me eligible to take this new drug, our greatest hope is we will find a cure. For those of you at the walk, Team Ketchum was part of my soft ball league. Rick Ketchum also has ALS and he is my soft ball friend. So with his team and our team we had over 120+ walkers, the sea of blue customized shirts was an awesome surprise. I wanted to get out of my wheel chair and walk across the finish line, and I DID IT! I want to thank Brad Bryce for pushing me around the loop for 2 miles, he probably enjoyed that, Lol. He and his family have been one of our life support systems, and continues to be there for us.
