HOW TO PREVENT CONSTIPATION If you are suffering from constipation or irritable bowel syndroms, you can actually prevent or overcome them through juicing. In order to prevent constipation, you need to consume foods that contain a lot of fiber. Fiber is divided into insoluble and soluble fiber. * Soluble fiber, found in cucumbers, blueberries, beans, and nuts, dissolves into a gel-like texture, helping to slow down your digestion. This helps you to feel full longer, which can help with weight control. * Insoluble fiber, found in foods like dark green leafy vegetables, green beans, celery, and carrots, does not dissolve at all and helps add bulk to your stool. This helps food to move through your digestive tract more quickly for healthy elimination First, you can juice green apple because green apple contains a lot of fiber. Normally I will throw in the orange, pineapple and mango together to give me the extra flavor but be careful not to put in the whole fruits inside the juicer because fruits contain fructose and it can spike your blood sugar. Another alternative is mix the green apple with vegetables like kale, broccoli, Brussels sprouts or bok choy to make a vegetables juice or green juice. Grapefruit or blood orange is another great choice when it comes to prevent constipation. Because grapefruit is somehow bitter in taste, so I like to mix it with coconut milk to make it sweeter. Psyllium Husks is another great source of soluble fiber to increase your bowel movements and also act as a stool softener. They act as a sponge in the intestinal tract, swelling as they absorb water and waste material in the bowels. It soaks up toxins and harmful residues, flusing them out of the body through stools. And lastly, nuts also contain a lot of fiber and it instanly solve your constipation issue by eating them raw. My favourite choice of nuts are Brazil nuts and walnuts.
