HOW WILL $1 BILLION LOAN HELP WHEN N3 TRILLION COULDNT? The Federal Govt is asking for approval by the National Assembly for a loan of One Billion Dollars to fight insurgency by upgrading the Security Agencies. Yet, records have it that in the last 3-4 years, Fed Govt has committed up to N3 Trillion to the Security Agencies and yet, Boko Haram is said to be better equipped and more motivated by Nigeria Operatives and fighters of the insurgency. Of cause it is fundamental to upgrade the Security Agencies. But question is: what was the N3 Trillion used for? Is the President truly satisfied that the said N3 Trillion was judiciously expended, to justify the demand for additional N160 Billion? One had expected the National Assembly to institute a probe on the said N3 Trillion before approving additional money. If N3 Trillion didnt work, N160 Billion cannot work also; without first finding out what happened to the whooping N3 Trillion.
