HUGE excitement as the local area gets prepared for next year.. the draining of the lake - they are draining the 400ha lake to inspect the dam, and build a new inspection tunnel. This inspection tunnel means that this is probably the last time the lake will be drained in our lifetimes.. they are gearing up to over 2 million extra visitors to the area next year for what is a pretty rare event - with improvements in technology its very rare that lakes are drained and its classified as a global event!
