HUNTSVILLE UTILITIES – OUTAGE UPDATE MADISON COUNTY April 29, 2014 – 4:15 AM Huntsville Utilities Operations Officials estimate 2,000 customers (households and businesses) remain without power at this time in Madison County, primarily in northern Madison County around the Hazel Green community, with some isolated smaller outages scattered across Madison County and Huntsville. Storms moving through Madison County yesterday afternoon and evening produced significant damage to the electrical distribution system, including broken utility poles, trees across power lines, and power lines on the ground. Residents are advised to stay clear of any downed power lines and not to try removing any limbs or debris across power lines. Please call 256-53-LIGHT (5-4448) to report any outages or damage. Crews will continue working to survey and repair the damage as quickly and safely as possible until all electrical service has been restored.
