Had a busy day and never left the house. The War Office left just - TopicsExpress

Had a busy day and never left the house. The War Office left just after 7am to take the car down to Melville Mitsubishi to comply with a vehicle recall, while there she took advantage of the special offer of a $129 service. Fortunately Dorothy was available to take follow her down there and back at around 10.30 to pick it up. Its been a very warm day and its the first time since last summer that I have been able to discard my cardigan since last summer. The Physio was definitely correct when stating that Parkinsons robs you of the ability to do things automatically and have noticed for the second consecutive day that limbs do work, its just a matter of reminding them of their functions. Spent some more time in the garden today and even attempted some repotting, the first time in about a year. The boys, David, Simon and an employee completed painting the roofs of units 2 & 21, 17 & 18 and pressure cleaned the paving at the rear of our unit. They had lunch with us on the patio and brighten the day for us. Dorothy called in for a while and informed us that she had picked up Georges ashes earlier, the family are all going down to Pemberton to scatter them at the base of the Glouster tree in accordance with Georges wishes. Told Dorothy that I had been to the Moss St clinic and was highly insulted when she said that it was the geriatric clinic for Fremantle hospital. Vale Joan Rivers, your irreverent sense of humour will long be remembered by those of your vintage and I guess, many of the younger generation also. The number of us who have succumbed to the ravages of old age in these units in the 16yrs since we moved here has been nothing short of astounding. 20 have gone to their eternal reward, two to care facilities and one confined indoors. A WORD OF ADVISE, If planning on old age, DONT! Goodnight from us.
