Had a crazy thought today while crossing the Delaware Memorial Bridge. Why does it cost only $ 4.00 to cross this complex of two bridges while it costs $ 13.00 to cross the George Washington Bridge into NY? Both are managed by a Two State Authority that also manages airports and other means of transportation. Both organizations have their own administrations, maintenance employees and their own police departments. But yet you pay three times as much to cross from one state to another over a bridge and the cheaper one has more structure and roadway to maintain. Thoughts anyone?
