Had a first time life experience this evening... for a few years now our neighbors have told us about the coyotes in the area, never paid much attention to it... UNTIL this evening... I decided since it was cool Jazzy, Christiana, and I would take a walk through the woods down towards the river. Christiana yells deer, we were a good 700-800 yards away and at first I thought it was 2 deer with their heads down walking across the path, then 2 more came and Christiana yelled "deer" one raised his head and yep it was NOT a deer, needless to say, I swooped them up and this over weight Nana hide tailed it out of there... So not to scare them I said, oh Nana forgot her walking stick, and we should go back to get it... felt at ease as soon as I could see the railroad overpass... I went over to tell my neighbor, and she informed me she has saw them going across the railroad track and her husband informed me he hears them off and on too... So folks it is NOT an URBAN myth, there are coyotes in Mill Creek...
