Had a great time with my daughter Christina Pinckney and my Grands Melody Pinckney and Jay, my five year old Grandson. Had to be the best day ever in downtown Vegas! My daughter was perfect as always and I was astounded by Granddaughter Melody who is a jr in high school. She has a way of saying Oh Grandpa! followed by a giggle and big smile that just knocks me out. She is so patient when I remind her how brilliant her Mom was in both college and high school ( made high school Whose Who from prestigious Marin academy in 1984-85)... Melody answers: Mom only had 50 in het class. I got over a thousand! At that point I asked: What is your favorite class? Oh Grandpa! (smile followed by giggle) It has to be calculus... But I like French though Im not so good. I got 98 grade in French 2 but ( head down shamefully) French 3 not so good, only got 93. I always thought Christina shouldve been a Dr cause she was so gifted and disciplined til she set me known at about age 13 and gave me a presentation as to why she didnt want to. She preferred hard science and subsequently became a Stanford educated engineer! Not bad but I always fantasized her in a lab coat visiting patients... Oh well So when Melody said: I always wanted to learn about the human body and maybe be... I finished her sentence A Doctor! The smile is still etched on my face! A
