Had a productive day today changing my wardrobe for summer and putting away my heavy winter clothes. Then my parents and I had a nice dinner out at Biddy OMalleys. Weather will be warming up near 80 degrees tomorrow. Some MLB injury news today. Boston Red Sox placed right fielder Shane Victorino on the 15 day disabled list with a strained right hamstring. Colorado Rockies placed third baseman Nolan Arenado on the 15 day disabled list with a fractured left middle finger. Boston Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts exited the game in the 11th inning with a right hamstring cramp. Boston Red Sox first baseman Mike Napoli was out of the starting lineup again on Saturday due to a finger injury and other ailments. He is reportedly expected to miss several games. The earliest he can return is Tuesday. Boston Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz was also out of the starting lineup Saturday with what manager John Farrell said was a calf injury. However it was really just a routine day off for Ortiz to help him deal with the injury. One interesting thing to pay attention to is that after tomorrow, Red Sox have two games in a National League park in Atlanta against the Braves. Which means the Red Sox will not have the designated hitter spot in the lineup on Monday and Tuesday. Ortiz has often played first base when the Sox play interleague games, so will be interesting if that is the case on Monday.
