However it was really just a routine day off for Ortiz to help him deal with the injury. One interesting thing to pay attention to is that after tomorrow, Red Sox have two games in a National League park in Atlanta against the Braves. Which means the Red Sox will not have the designated hitter spot in the lineup on Monday and Tuesday. Ortiz has often played first base when the Sox play interleague games, so will be interesting if that is the case on Monday.
