Had a wonderful time in San Jose, CA. Starting with my awesome hosts who agreed to put me up for a week; the touching stories of undocumented Dreamers afraid of being deported even though they were born, raised, and educated right here in the United States; and breakfast with Congressman Luis V. Gutierrez updating us on where Congress is with a Comprehensive Immigration Bill giving all our immigrants a path to citizenship. My take away? Congress is working hard on passing the best immigration bill possible, and Nancy Pelosi wants her Speaker of the House job back that Boehner is not very capable of handling.
