Had an idea on the way to work for a small charity event that we can do before the actual relay event in May. Looking for feedback: WAKA High School Alumni Kickball Games A round robin tourney featuring teams comprised of alumni from various local high schools. i.e. A Crabber team, Warrior team, Phantoms, Bruins, etc. I figure, like the draft league, itll mix up the rosters and have people playing with people they may not normally play with. The competition should also be pretty balanced* and hopefully itll be an easy way to introduce NEW players to kickball. But unlike a draft league, each team will have at least one common connection and a desire to earn bragging rights for their alma mater. And of course, it would be a fun way to get a little extra funds for the Relay team. Of course, one of the only drawbacks is that it excludes players that did not go to school here. But, we could always use refs and volunteers to help support the cause. Thoughts? Its ok to tell me if this is a stupid idea. *except for the Crabbers, which will dominate of course.
