Had some unlikely satisfaction this morning while riding to work on Route 66 (still dark, no shoulder). Had a car coming towards me and one coming from behind also. As the car approaches from the front, I hear the sound of an impatient minivan on my rear wheel. I hug the white line as Mrs. Impatient soccer mom pushes her way through, inches away. I quietly apologize for any inconvenience that I may have caused her. A couple seconds later another car comes screaming by me from behind at a safe distance. Im wondering why everyones in such a hurry when I realize that the second car is a State Patrol :) They disappeared over the hill and when I topped the hill I could see the cherries and blueberries flashing. I dont wish ill on my fellow human and I dont believe in the traditional definition of karma, but I might have cracked a smile when I cruised on by.
