Had the most heartwarming experience this morning in Newellton. I - TopicsExpress

Had the most heartwarming experience this morning in Newellton. I got to be with two of my most favorite groups of people...the Newellton children and the veterans. I sat on the bottom row in the stands and wiped tears away as the Pre-K class recited the Pledge of Allegiance and I looked around the gymnasium. It took me back to Routhwood days and the many programs we had. The program was dedicated to my sweet friend, Mr. Bill Stroud. He is forever present in the hearts of us all. Some of the veterans were the grandfathers, or uncles of kids I taught who have children of their own and as I looked into the faces of the kids in each class, I found myself trying to remember names of students whose faces they resembled. Congratulations to Ms. Annie Marshall and all the teachers for preparing such a memorable Thank you for our local veterans. God bless them all.
