Hair tip of the day! Silky soft waves: I start with using Aquage Silkening oil treatment, it creates silky smooth Frizz-free hair. Just a few drops the size of a dime and I rub that in my hands and then starting with my ends I rub it in and then brush my hair. If I want some volume I use the Aquage uplifting foam. I spray that in comb it in& blow dry my hair with my head up side down. Now on to curling!! Start with your curling iron on medium heat and adjust accordingly. Divide your hair into sections, starting in the back. My hair is pretty long so Ill split it down the middle at the back, but section off the crown almost in a Mohawk way for just the top, from the rest. Spray each section with beyond shine sealing spray, to protect your hair from damage and breakage. Hold your curling iron vertically and wrap the section of hair around the barrel. (Using this method, you never actually open the clamp of the curling iron.) so using it like a wand. Hold for a few seconds and release, but dont pull the curl through, spray with a little working spray. Follow with a light finishing hair spray to help hold waves. If you have a natural wave, using a curling iron to recurl can smooth out frizzy sections or to enhance individual pieces of hair that need a bit more wave. If you are interested in the Aquage products please let me know I carry this line of products in my private studio. ;)
