Halloween, which is All Hallows Eve revolves around the theme of using humor and ridicule, a form of fear, to confront the power of death, or its illusion. Does death really have power? And if so, are you intimidated by it? People are actually less afraid of death itself, than they are of dying, which basically is living. There is no death without life or/or living. And no living without death. Life is a subtle and sentient form of dying or dying off from one dimension to the next and involves a presumed and perceived stillness that tends to intimidate things, including people in motion. Death seems to be an affront to movement, momentum or forward thrust. Join me tonight 8:30-9:30 CST for Streaming Consciousness at Bishoppearson for an interesting discussion on Halloween and the Feast of Samhain, (Lord of Death) where we will confront the illusions of both life and death and the fear around both, usually based on our religious and/or superstitious perspectives and traditions. Are you afraid to die or are you just afraid to live, then die? Is life the opposite of death or just a correspondent to it?
