Handicapped UE Red Warriors suffered their second straight loss of their second round campaign in the UAAP Season 76 from the NU Bulldogs at their game earlier at the Araneta Coliseum; 81-73. Struggling with the absence of two of their key players because of two-game suspension, Lord Casajeros and Charles Mammie, The Red and White squad still managed to keep pace with the Bulldogs for most of the game, however came up short of offense when Ralf Olivares was fouled out with just 57 seconds to play in the third period. Bulldogs Bobby Ray Parks and Emmanuel Mbe worked hand-in-hand to lift their team up with 18 points each, and 10 and 11 rebounds, respectively. NU is now sharing the top spot with the FEU Tamaraws with a 8-3 card while dealing the Warriors as share of 5-5 record with UST Growling Tigers in the fifth rank. UE will next face the DLSU Green Archers on Wednesday, September 4 at the Big Dome still without the Mammie-Casajeros duo. Meanwhile, the UP Fighting Maroons were still unable to break their win-less record for this season after losing from the AdU Soaring Falcons, 67- 53 in the earlier schedule of games. #UEBlackSaturday #GoUEUAAP76
