Handsome Abe was found wandering alone outside of Abilene. He was picked up by animal control there and his time was up, so he came to us. He came in very, very thin but were happy to say hes finally put on the weight he needed to gain. Abe is incredibly friendly and sweet with people. He is quick to roll over for belly rubs and will lean on you for love. He also has one of the softest, most velvety coats our dog coordinator has ever felt. We think he would prefer to be an only pet. Abe is fairly high energy and doesnt have a handle on many basics yet. He will need help learning not to jump up on people and how to walk politely on leash. He definitely wants to please though and seems like a bright boy. We dont know what breeds Abe is mixed with, lab, boxer and ridgeback have all been guesses for him. His age estimate is 2-3 years and he is between 60-70 lbs.
