Happy Birthday Chuck Cissel (Born October 3, 1948). He is an American singer, dancer, director, choreographer and producer. He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Oklahoma, and was one of the first African Americans to graduate from the universitys fine arts school. He was the CEO of the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame from 2000–2009 and is now the Artistic Director of the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame, which is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Chuck teamed with Skip Scarborough to recorded solo albums with Arista Records which were called, Just for You, featuring the hard-hitting international #Disco/#Dance hit, Cisselin’ Hot , If I Had The Chance and the Motown-styled Forever the album was a strong underground seller in the 80s and included a fine varied mix from #Soul & #Disco. Cissel followed up Just For You with, If I Had The Chance, a lesser album that appeared to be pieced together, ultimately being released a full year after the title cut hit Urban AC stations. It failed to chart and Cissels solo recording career was complete. He continued, however, to provide backing vocals on other artists albums. GARY
