Happy Holidays from ARS Paris! Did you know that in the United - TopicsExpress

Happy Holidays from ARS Paris! Did you know that in the United States many of us try to be very careful about respecting the traditions or our fellow citizens? In fact, were so careful that our comedians like to make jokes about it. (Were big on free speech too.) Happy Kwanzmakah, they might say. (You can be forgiven for not knowing that Kwanzmakah is a silly combination of the words Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, and Christmas, all of which are celebrated around the same time of the year.) So its pretty clear that were on board with lots of different kinds of holiday celebrations. And we know that our friends in Africa are really familiar with that concept. Today I came across a post from the ONE organization that shares some of the various ways that Africans across the continent celebrate Christmas. I thought it was nice, so I wanted to share it with you. Hope youre having a good Wednesday, whatever you might happen to be celebrating or doing this week. Im sharing a couple pictures of some of my familys holiday traditions. Why dont you share some of yours with us? Wed love to hear how you celebrate this season, or any of your other favorite seasons throughout the year. Ho ho ho, and Happy Kwanzmakah!
