Happy Hump Day all! Made it out this morning for day 12 of the #spartan30 dip challenge, some tabatas and my first barbell complex. For my first tabata I did a combo of box (stairs) jumps and crunches, for the 2nd I did lunges and leg lifts. Though that would be a good warmup and a way to incorporate more legs and core work in for the time I had. In my internet searching I came across a #sealfit barbell complex I got really excited about, so I figured I’d give it a shot. I only went 3 rounds through it, so I’ll definitely revisit this to get a full 5-6 round workout with it. The complex was 6 reps of deadlifts, bent-over rows, hang power cleans, front squats, push press and back squats. I stayed light on the weight and it was still pretty tough. But, I’m more of a beginner at barbells and this is a more advanced workout. But regardless, I liked it A LOT. Just need to put in more work on improving my form so I can start to add weight after. It’ll be nice to make some progress with this over the winter since workouts won’t be super race focused. Anyways, a good morning. Fenway sprint is just a few days away!! AROO!
