Happy Labor Day! This holiday really hits home for me. I come from - TopicsExpress

Happy Labor Day! This holiday really hits home for me. I come from from a family of people who work extremely hard. The men were mostly farmers and laborers and the women-both grandmothers continued working 20-30 years after retirement. Grandma Duffy raised 8 kids and worked on top of that, while Grandma Carnicle drove 160 minutes every weekday even in the snowy winters for over 25 years to earn a wage she thought was respectable to contribute to the family. She also tended to a large garden where she canned and made many of her own jams and jellies. They did not run to fast food when they got home, but instead made large home cooked meals and washed clothes by hand. My dad was probably the hardest working man I know-successful business owner for 31 years and worked as a Forman union iron worker full time on top of that. Mom sacrificed so much as well to raise two kids as a single mom and work full time and practice solidifying. Brothers and sister are hard workers and entrepreneurs as well. Everyone does the best they know how and have the capacity to do at the given time. The theory of work smarter, not harder didnt exist in my eyes. Im sure my family may have thought that was the lazy way so I never considered it. Now I know it doesnt mean to be lazy but instead means to find ways to capitalize on something you have passion for and let it work for you so that work can come from a place of love rather than just survival and become a spiritual practice. I know the value of work-ethic. Its in my blood. I run two businesses, workout almost every day, and am very, very engaged in raising Hailee in a spiritual loving environment. I love what I do so it doesnt feel like work as many people know work to be. I am so happy to be able to pass down some strategies for ease in my daughters life with what I am doing. I am showing her if she is passionate about something, consistent, has laser focus, takes care of her body, mind, and sprit, has a clear vision of where she wants to go, and has a love and belief in herself and a heart of service she will go far. I am creating a legacy for her to follow her dreams and do what she loves while serving people in the process. I am helping to change the meaning of work as she knows it to be what she makes it and it can be fun and very rewarding. The meaning of Labor Day celebration is to remember the people who created fair wages and fair hours/workweeks with opportunity for health care etc. Today is much different. Much faster and we are losing sight of some freedoms we fought for way back when. There are amazing opportunities to create the freedom we need for how fast things are getting and to find some balance as they strived for back then. I feel fortunate to have found a company I love who strives for integrity and fairness for all people they link arms with which is #isagenix On this Labor Day today, let’s commit ourselves to do everything we can in our daily lives to support the workers of our communities and country and to also be open to other possibilities to find freedom again to be with our families. There are many beautiful solutions out there-you just have to pick one that resonates with you and run with it.
