Happy Republic Day And here comes our Republic Day, an Indian can take pride in having the largest democracy and one of the longest constitution. The forefathers of our country that built the pillars of our democracy on a very fragile base, did what they thought was good for there people. Today, is not the day for criticism, nether its the day for self catering. Its the day on which you got the your rights enlisted and your duties entrusted. Many would argue about the rights being theoretical and the duties being ignored, but lets keep that discussion for some other day. We all should be thankful to our forefathers for doing what they did. The circumstances they faced and the solutions they opted, cant be fairly judged at anytime. Those were very tough times back then. What we can do is, we can help this country get better. We can fight for a change, we can be the change and we can bring the change, but for today lets be happy, lets be proud and lets be patient. The largest democracy with largest and one of the longest constitution has its 66th Republic Day. We could have had a better constitution and we could have had a worse one. Lets just be happy that we have a constitution, even though just theoretical one. Even though our leaders fail to respect and practise the essence of our constitution, but today we should not complain. We all know that freedoms and rights are not outrightly available. We also know that most of our fellow citizens dont practice there duties. But lets not complain, lets keep up with what we have and lets be happy.
