Happy St.Georges Day! St.George is the patron saint of England - a brave Roman soldier who died in prison from torture in 303 AD after defending persecuted Christians. The most famous of stories is that along his travels, protected by his cross, St. George slayed a man-eating dragon, saving the Princess and liberating the people of the city. After his death, he was seen in dreams by the Normans who attributed their battle wins to him. Adopted by Richard The Lion Heart in the 12th century, his emblem, a red cross on a white background, is the flag of England, and also part of the British flag. In honor of St. George, all of our handmade British Pennants will be 25% off this week when you mention this Facebook post. #StGeorge #Sale #BritishDecor
