Happy Summer Solstice from Evolutionary Books & Productions!! "The summer solstice is the longest day - concerning daylight hours - of the year. This is where Sun of God is at his strongest, and conversely he is at his weakest, and meets his death upon the Winter Solstice (Dec.20th or 21st) to rise again or be born again on the 25th of Dec. In Kemet (the ancient Egyptians) personified this struggle between the light and the dark by assigning characters to both states, Heru for the day, and Set for the night. Year long they both battle to control the day, and in using that metaphor, Set is at his weakest right now. Years and years later, it was not ONLY seen as light and dark, but also as good and evil - with darkness becoming synonymous with evil, but as reality holds it, in dealing with the original definition, the dark is just as neutral as they light when the perspectives of good and evil are concerned.
