Happy Thanksgiving and Lets Beat Texas. Im so thankful for Martha and the boys, my family and friends in Costa Rica and Texas (and in other places around the world). We have so much to be thankful for. On another note and to leave a famous quote I deeply hope we beat their asses today. Below is a post from another red raider, a little strongly worded but I appreciate the emotion. Thats right every day Im a red raider. But you know what. Today more than any other day of the year Im a ten foot tall and bullet proof football cheering scarlet and black you can all kiss my ass if you dont like it you burnt orange commie tree hugging roper wearing Texan wannabe son of a buck. Weve been up, weve been down. But tomorrow none of that matters. Tomorrow we lace em up one last time and we go into the belly of the beast and we hit them in the mouth. Tomorrow we are 0-0. Its a one game season and this is the one that counts. Now I know what youre all thinking. Iron Guts we cant stop the run, Iron Guts our freshman quarterback turns it over, Iron Guts our safeties just got out of middle school. Well you know what, excuses are for candy asses and tea parties. This program has substance, and substance never quits. Ever. If I could Id sit down tonight with Kerry Hyder, Terrance Bullit, Tre Porter, and Eric Ward Id tell them this. You have fought, scratched, clawed and battled for four years and this is your final time to take on the Longhorns. I want you to know that I have every confidence in the world that you are going to lay everything on the line. You have set the standard for perseverance and effort, and there is no way you dont walk off a winner this one last time. I dont care what the scoreboard says at the end of the night. There are no moral victories in football, but there are moments that define who you are as a player. Let tomorrow night be one of those moments. I believe we will win every time we play.
