Happy Veterans Day! As a veteran knowing several other vets in our valley, I would like to inquire please as to any local perks or holiday activities honoring vets today in Ojai. I am working but many have the day off and the news this morning is touting all the perks chain type establishments in other parts of the country offer, with Ojai being mainly full of locally owned shops, what are we offering our vets as a small token of thank you? I would also like to thank my sister Jennifer Kelso, a local Ojai girl for her continued service in the US Navy, and both of our passed grandfathers for inspiring both of us to serve. I would also like to share her wedding photo, as this Veterans Day is the first she is spending with her legally wedded wife, Erin, also in the Navy.
