Harborne High Street remains closed due to falling debris from the vacant Huntsman Pub. Emergency services were dispatched to the vacant Huntsman Pub on Harborne Hight Street, at around 9PM on Wednesday night (14/01), after the wind had blown out a window - resulting in debris scattered across the road. Billy Corrigan, who is a pillar of the community, Said: “The window has fallen from the first floor. Structural engineers appear to be there assessing the situation. Lots of debris in the road. Huge chunks of brick and wood which shards of glass.” The building is now unsafe - Police have cordoned off the area. Structural engineers will a make full assessment today (15/01). Harborne High Street will be closed between Lordswood Road and Station Road until later today. The following NX WM services are being diverted via: Service 11A will be diverted from War Lane via Northfield Road, Quinton Road and onto Harborne Park Road to continue normal line of route. Service 11C will be diverted from Quinton Road via Northfield Road, War Lane and onto Lordswood Road to continue normal line of route. Services 22, 23, 23A from city will be diverted from Vivian Road via Harborne Park Road, Quinton Road, Northfield Road, Ware Lane and onto Northfield Road to continue normal line of route. Service 22, 23, 23A to city will be diverted from War Lane via Northfield Road, Quinton Road, Harborne Park Road, Metchley Lane and onto Harborne Road to continue normal line of route. Services 29, 29A from city - normal line of route Services 29, 29A to city will make a u-turn at Harborne Park Road, onto Metchley Lane and Harborne Road to continue normal line of route. Service 24 from city will be diverted from Vivian Road via Harborne Park Road, Quinton Road, Northfield Road, War Lane and onto Lordswood Road to continue normal line of route. Service 24 to city will be diverted via Ware Lane via Northfield Road, Quinton Road, Harborne Park Road, Metchley Lane and onto Harborne Road to continue normal line of route. Service 48 to Romsley Road will be diverted via War Lane, Northfield Road, Quinton Road, Harborne Park Road, Metchley Lane and onto Somerset Road to continue normal line of route. Service 48 to West Bromwich will be diverted from Vivian Road, Harborne Park Road, Quinton Road, Northfield Road, War Lane and onto Lordswood Road to continue normal line of route. Service 99 from city will be diverted from Vivian Road, Harborne Park Road, Quinton Road, Northfield Road, War Lane and onto Tennel Road to continue normal line of route.
