Harvest Festival is like our town fiesta here in Mabalacat City. - TopicsExpress

Harvest Festival is like our town fiesta here in Mabalacat City. Months of planning is done to prepare the location by parishioners. Approx 8 acres is watered for months to grow the grass. Three days before the event the site is secured by a wire fence. We mark the ground parking lot so people will know the parking spaces. Tents are put up for the different food booths and entertainment stalls. The Filipino food booth offers pancit guisado, halo halo, fried lumpia, fried rice, sago and pork barbecue. Other food menu during the festival includes Mexican, German, Italian, Polish, Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Japanese and European dishes. I have been a part of this festival since 1988 until 2011 from the planning stage to the time we fold the tents and close the festivities on Sunday night. Every year parishioners look forward to join the crowd and enjoy the fellowship, especially the youth and the elderly in a family oriented event and in the spirit of volunteerism. Proceeds of this festival goes to the building fund and maintenance of the magnificent church in Chino Hills, CA 91709. https://youtube/watch?v=EwhBJNHArW0
