~~~Has anybody else experienced the feeling of a chemical skin burn from Morrisville water? This was posted on Front Porch Forum: Morrisville Water & Light added chlorine and sodium hydroxide to its waterlines on Friday. If you are experiencing color in your water or a greasy feel to it as a result, it is a normal reaction of the sodium hydroxide to your internal water delivery system. And if you have a color to your water, go ahead and let your tap run for about 5 minutes, which should flush any of the chemical remnants out of your house and/or business. Either way, the water is perfectly safe to drink. ~My water is also making me feel like Ive been rolling in fiberglass insulation.... ??? ~~If youve got any questions or concerns, Health Officer Todd Thomas is passing the buck onto Morrisivlle Water and Light.
