Has anybody given any thought why the US Chamber of Commerce wants - TopicsExpress

Has anybody given any thought why the US Chamber of Commerce wants this bill passed? Well, it is about getting cheap labor. George Soros is applying pressure because the illegal immigrants will vote Democratic should they get citizenship. Cheap labor has done more to slow the technological advances we have seen in manufacturing and the farming industry. When labor reaches a point where it becomes expensive, one of two things happen; either someone figures out how to do it better or businesses move. It is better to find a more efficient way than to move because cheap labor has its own set of problems, like quality and language, plus the expenses associated with moving. Some may say that expensive labor is the reason businesses leave the United States. The major reason is that the US government has passed so many regulations, laws, and taxes that businesses are forced out of their own country. And then there is ObamaCare which threatens the very livelihood of millions of Americans and their ability to work because of what it is doing to the way businesses must operate under this really crazy law. In Georgia, Saxby Chambliss is one of the Gang of Eight, but is not running again. Nevertheless, it is important to communicate to him and others like him that government must first work on getting our economy working, which means getting rid of the laws, taxes, and regulations which take away our ability to compete in the world markets. When there is more work than workers, then fix the immigration mess. Control the borders, and pass legislation that requires businesses interested in hiring foreign workers to ante up for their services, so that the taxpayer is not responsible for them. There is nothing wrong with guest worker status, and if there is a need for highly skilled foreign workers because our colleges are unable to provide such people, work on those issues, not amnesty for anybody who happens to cross over.
