Has anyone had any issues with the hill holder feature on their 04 fxt? I think it May be clutch issues but my friend whos a Subaru master tech thinks it might be the hill holder. Heres what happened so I can pick yalls brain. Drive home from work no issues. In house Maybe ten minutes grabbing a few things. Go out to car start up. Let clutch out in 1st and the car feels like Its holding its self back. Same thing in 2nd and 3rd. Feels like I physically had to force it to move. And when I let off the gas it bogs down like Its trying to stop. Now the reason I think its clutch related is because I could smell the clutch burning. But the more I drove it the more normal it felt. Get to gfs house come to a complete stop and it goes with no issues. Car is an 04 fxt with 136xxx on it. Im stumped. Now Ill admit Ive never actually had a clutch fail on me Ive always taken the cars Ive owned apart before Ive had any issues. Thanks for looking. And helping! Pic for attention 😀
