Has anyone seen any media coverage on our campaign aside from Randa Morris piece in Addicting Info in which she so brilliantly gave us our name- POWO50AFOPOWO50? In August of 2012 I attended the Republican National Convention in Tampa as a protester. The Republicans could have cared less that we were around, except when we disrupted a few of their tony dinners, in fact 2 women stuck their heads in the air and pinched their noses at me when were were protesting at a restaurant that was hosting the Governors dinner. ( I think that is when I lost my voice because that made me protest even louder.) LOL We knew that our power was w/ the media, who followed us around for the 3 days we were there. Many people were interviewed and their stories were printed. Ed Schultz was at our opening day rally, people from MSNBC, including reporters for Rachel Maddow,multiple reporters from lots of media sources. As our campaign goes into its second week of what is going to be a long, nationwide campaign, we need to gain some notority. Do any of you have media contacts, or in the media yourself? If so, please contact them about us, and tell them what we are doing. You can tell the Rothliberg story on how we came togeher as a group (currently 1648 on Sat. afternoon, up from 30 or so last Sunday) and suggest they do a piece on us and start following our campaign. Especially our demand for a public apology we are going to request from the Speaker of the House, Ray Merrick. We will see how that plays out. Just an FYI- the former Speaker of the Ks. House Mike ONeal announced his retirement in 2012 after he was barraged by the media and petitions. He sent out tweets and posts that were very derogatory towards the Obamas. Google the story, its pretty interesting. So lets get some media attention going. Power in numbers and attention! If anybody does contact the media and want to speak to Randa or me, PM me on my own FB page. I dont want my phone # published and I am sure Marty and Randa do not either.
