Have received a very sad email from Bethesda Childrens Home/Carl Sithole Centre- one of their cottages has burnt down. Thank goodness no one was hurt but some of the girls lost all their belongings. The cottage had just been renovated! As you know this is a home very close to our hearts who we have been involved with for a number of years and many of you have visited with us, donated time and services. The home is very easy to find, right next to Maponya Mall. They need a whole lot of items if anyone can help, you can drop any smaller items off at our offices: 1. 28 beds and bedding components including duvets 2. 28 mattresses 3. 28 curtains 4. Furniture: 1 TV set, 1 Fridge, 1 four-plate electric stove, 1 DVD player, 1 Radio set 5. Full school uniforms for 19 children 6. Cutlery and pots 7. Oil and bar heaters 8. Two electric kettles 9. Bed-side mats 10. Couches 11. Cosmetics 12. Sanitary pads In terms of clothes the girls range from age 13 to 19 (small to medium size), shoes size 3 to 6.
