Have you ever done something so stupid and dumb that you didnt even want to tell your spouse?? Well since I have, I have to share with everybody. My truck has been sitting in the driveway for a month now with what I presumed to be a bad fuel pump, ( itd gone out before, so I new !). I was going to fix it myself, its not a hard job, you just lay on your back on the 135 degree pavement and drop the fuel tank. So I made an appointment with a mobile mechanic for tomorrow! As soon as I put the phone down, I thought that with my luck that hed show up and start it right up, I better check. Well I felt better when it still wouldnt start till I looked down at the gas gauge, it hadnt moved... I new that it would need gas when I parked it but I always leave enough to get me to the gas station, I thought ! I sat there with the key on and the needle never moved. So mr. mechanic that I am, I went up and bought 2 gallons of gas and put that in. I sat the can down and looked around to make sure there was nobody to laugh at me, got in and it started right up.. I almost laughed till I remembered the Towncar we had to get to take us to the airport and back last month and that Evelyn had to rent a car in Portland so I wouldnt be without a car. I felt so dumb that I had to share
