Have you noticed how our stuff isnt slick? When i got out of the internet marketing world, it was because of pretty much one reason … it all started to seem like too much work and i proved my case yesterday. let me explain: i made a post on FB yesterday cracking on how offline was better than online and that post had ONE stink in link in it … ONE LINK. and you know what happened? the link didnt work DOH! are you kidding me??? over the past decade, ive literally made millions of dollars from online marketing and STILL cant even put a working link in an FB post? but guess what? my postcards dont have a link to click. thank goodness :) i mail them to targeted lists of BUYERS of similar products the postcards have just enough sales copy on them to get the recipient to call to hear a 24-hour recorded message that does all the heavy lifting for me. the recorded message does the selling, provides audio testimonials (on this particular project), and has the responder press 1 on their phone when theyre ready to order not a lot of room for technical screw ups if the recipient of my postcard had the mental savvy to dial the phone number on the postcard in the first place, they probably can tell which button on their phone is the 1 button that will connect them to someone ready to take their order total setup time for that card was about an hour and a half or so? to be fair, i already had a product selected and DID have some up front work which included: 1. Call my list broker (whos been doing list brokerage for 2 decades), tell him what the product was, and have him pull out a buffet of big, fat lists of people who had recently bought a similar product TOTAL TIME: 10 minutes, maybe … but some of that time was spent exchanging corny jokes with each other 2. Write the postcard copy TOTAL TIME: 20-30 minutes 3. Get an 888 number from the voicemail service i use TOTAL TIME: 1 minute 4. Write and record the pre-recorded sales message the caller hears TOTAL TIME: 45 minutes 5. Upload the mailing list from my broker and the postcard into Click2Mail who handles the printing & postage bits - I dont even touch the postcards TOTAL TIME: 10 minutes MAX 6. Wait for the cards to land in mailboxes on monday - and i think tom petty made it pretty clear that the waiting is the hardest part. And monday, i can guarantee that orders will be coming in Thats maybe one of the fastest product launches on record! So im gonna try again today what i bombed at yesterday … put a link in an FB post! Go here if you think what were doing sounds like your idea of a business youd like to have for yourself: https://daygull.wufoo/forms/k1y29vi01ved1iy/
