Ever wondered why the roads authorities or county governments (previously local government councils) do not follow up and raise third party claims to have the insured make restitution of the damages? Surely, when the police go to the scene of accident, they ought to record the visible damages on the site. The accidents are normally reported at the nearest police station and claimants would have no problem establishing which vehicle caused the damage and have its third party claims underwriters pay for the same. Just a thought.
