Have you written a love letter to your wife/husband? Most of us - TopicsExpress

Have you written a love letter to your wife/husband? Most of us did while dating or as newlyweds but this message is a reminder to you all to do just that. Tell them how much they mean to you and how much you love them each and every day but most of all, show it to them because when love is felt, the message is heard! You can always give without loving, but you can never love without giving. Showing how you feel IS telling how you feel! William Shakespeare once wrote, “Love sought is good, but given unsought, is better.” When we give our loved ones undeserved love, unexpected love and love they never knew, we are doing for them what God does for us. We dont deserve His love, sometimes we dont expect it and its a love like we could never know! Showing that kind of love is godly love or what the bible calls agape love! I love Angela very much, but I could never love her as much as God loves me! I could only hope to show my love in the magnitude and awesomeness that He does. I try, but I know I fall short. God too has given us a love letter, its the Bible, Gods Holy Word. In it you will find out how much He really does love you! One verse says so very much, but all of its words speak volumes of how great His love is for us. So, as God has given us a love letter with so many stories and wisdom for us to read, we should also write a love letter to our wives/husbands. Share with them your hopes and dreams. Tell them how much you love them. Sometimes its easier to write your feelings down than to speak them. Its time for us all to step up to the plate and be men and women of God! Men, be like Boaz! Women, be like Ruth! Show godly love and wisdom toward your spouses and loved ones! Even if you dont know where to start, 1st Corinthians chapter 13 verses 4 - 13 can be a great beginning. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. 13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. You will be glad you did! Start writing....God bless you all!
