Having a frustrating day... inspired by the looming deadline for healthcare registration Ive attempted to sign up over the past few days. The overall response so far has been a wonderful exercise in not cussing. This unAffordable Healthcare Act is a waste of time and money, for everyone involved. Our government spent an obscene amount of money having the website developed, only to have it not work for most people and it takes, on average, something like 8 hours to complete an application (according to reports in the news). It took me several months because I cant handle this much frustration with something like a web site where it wont listen to reason. But then the government is spending over $1Billion advertising this atrocity. Quit overpaying for everything and just hire someone competent to make it work. If it worked and was beneficial to anyone, you wouldnt have to spend all that advertising money. Now that Ive gotten through the application finally, there are no plans that are affordable. But I also dont qualify for Medicaid (even though H&R Block estimated I should based on income/family size). Luckily, there are no real deadlines being enforced and theyll be too busy illegally harassing conservative non-profits to bother auditing me over the tax penalty associated with lack of healthcare. In other news, I wish this wasnt such a nightmare. I really would like to get my kids to a doctor. Id like to personally thank our President and Congress for migrating the dream of healthcare out into the land of fantasy for me and my family. Hope we dont get sick! :/
