Having come in late, it was dark outside. As I climbed the steps to the back door, I noticed I had left the kitchen light on this morning. Or, had I? I came on in, a little nervously, putting my purchases down. As I moved through the kitchen to the dark hallway, I suddenly looked up, with my heart literally jumping into my throat. For there, standing in front of me was someone staring back at me! I was frozen in my tracks, fear gripping me for a split second! Start laughing....it was my own image in the closet door- length mirror that I had left completely open this morning, facing the kitchen! I had been about ready to turn and run, screaming at the top of my lungs, out the back door! I hope a smile came across your face. Im still waiting for my heart to calm down!
