Having correct understanding and good intention is the greatest blessing. How many of us are sincere in our intentions? And how many of us have attained a good understanding of what this religion calls too? ** Its time for you to ponder, reflect and think ** Al Imaam Ibnu Qayyim il Jawziyyah – Allaah have mercy on him – said: “Correct understanding and good intention are from the greatest of Allah’s favors by which he blesses His slave. Much rather, after Islam, He has not bestowed a slave with anything more virtuous or majestic than the two of them. Much rather they are the two legs of Islam, it stands upon the both of them and by them the slave is spared from the path of those whom divine anger is upon- those whose intent was corrupt- and the path of the astray ones whose understanding was corrupted. He becomes from those whom divine favor is upon- whose understandings and intentions are good, and they are the adherents of the straight path whom we are ordered in every prayer to ask Allah to guide us to their path. Correct understanding is a light that Allah casts into the slave’s heart to distinguish between that which is correctness and corruption, truth and falsehood, guidance and misguidance, error and right approach. It is supplied by good intent, being adamant for the truth, having taqwa of A-Rabb inwardly and outwardly. Its supply is severed by following desires, preferring the dunya, desiring the praise of creation and abandoning taqwa” (I’laam Al Muwaqi’een) Some of us have opened pages, blogs and even websites. In hope that we ultimately be rewarded for it by Allaah. We also do it in order to play a role in aiding the dawah and spreading the good amongst the people. But how many of us are sincere in our intentions? Its important to know that Allaah accepts only those Deeds which are both Correct and Sincere (pure) Al-Fudayl b. ‘Ayyâd [187H] – Allaah have mercy on him – said: “Allaah Azzawajal accepts only those deeds which are both correct and sincere (pure). If the deed is done correctly but not sincerely, it will not be accepted. And if it is sincere but not correct, it will not be accepted.” He was asked, “Abû ‘Alî! What is the sincere and correct deed?” He replied, “The sincere deed is one that is done only for Allaah Azzawajal. And the correct deed is one done according to the Sunnah.” (Abû Nu’aym, Hilyah Al-Awliyâ` Vol.8 p95) Please note: Please do visit the links we recommend below.
