Rachel shows some great footage of Boris Yeltsin and relates how he turned the black boxes from the downed Korean airliner (269 deaths) over to Korea in an effort to change how the world viewed Russia. This was 9 years after the plane was shot down & it turned out the tapes, the actual data was not actually in the boxes he turned over; the boxes were in effect, empty. ... The tapes were then turned over to the International Civil Aviation Organization (part of the UN) and they in turn, at some point released the harrowing transcripts of the tapes which included fact that passengers may have been alive for the 12 min after the plane was hit and before it crashed. .... Details are important ... they disproved what the Russians had claimed, i.e., that it was not a passenger flight but a spy plane. ... ... President Obama in a speech today said Russia, and in particular Vladimir Putin had a direct responsibility to make the investigation of the downed Malaysian airliner, happen; a responsibility to make the, compel the separatists to cooperate and to allow full & unfettered access to the investigators ....
