Having watched the Ebola Crisis and comparing the results in Nigeria to the other countries , it is quite possible that the reason why the crisis may be deepening in others countries is that they are reliant on outside help and using a foreign aid model for a disease that requires a response from within. I have watched as some Aid organisations have gone into the countries and started heavy construction of shelters and I wonder why they are responding to it the same way they would be responding the haitian earthquake crisis. Knowing the logistics involved, I could see that the Foreign Aid approach was doing what they usually do- Three quarters of the aid money is spent on logistics and foreign contractors and at the end the only real problem that is solved is that of increased employment for the foreign nations that contributed the aid. To fight Ebola, the African governments must look within, lead from within, trust its people and encourage the people to trust their governments and continually look to the Nigerian example and not for a white saviour.
