Hayden update: Thursday, November 13th, (Happy Birthday Wes!) Hayden and I got to spend most of the day at Phoenix Childrens hospital going through his first set of post treatment scans and tests. He had a CT scan and a GFR study of his kidneys. A few days ago he had an EKG and Echocardiogram done as well. Next week he will have an audiology appointment and then we will be done with most of these type of tests for awhile. Yeah! The CT scan of his abdomen is specifically to scan his liver for the return of any cancer cells, but the rest of the tests are to see what affects the chemotherapy had on his body. We will meet with his oncologist some time next week to go over all of these test results. This first picture is of him waiting during the GFR study and the second picture is of him during the CT scan. The CT ladies were so fun and they made Hayden look like a Ninja. He wore that gauze bandage on his head, all of the way home. They also gave him another sticky egg as a prize and he was so excited. That has been by far his favorite CT prize. 🍳 It was a long day at the hospital but it turned out to be fun! Hayden is still doing remarkably well. He feels good, he has lots of energy, and his hair is really growing back. His appetite still isnt back to normal, but it is getting there. He is so excited to start school in 2 weeks. We have been working hard to get him caught up to the rest of the class so that when he starts, he wont have any make up work to do. Thanks to Dr. Michele Hudak, he will be all caught up. Thank you! Everything is still going very well! We will report on the test results soon, but until then we are just enjoying each normal day at home with our family. Normal life really is a gift!
