He is a human being who had 30 seconds to not only let the moment that he is winning the highest honor an actor can win sink in but yet still try to come up with some sort of speech with out blubbering like an idiot (ahem Sally Fields anyone?) I think that the trans community (which I support completely) should research the work he put into the role and be happy that Hjs portrayal was not bombastic or fake. Its sad but we live In a country where many of its citizens are terrified of the truth, so they spend millions of dollars on movies like jackass and hangovers (nothing wrong with entertainment) but the fact that this truth, the truth of Rayon and many people just like her was portrayed on film and is getting this much attention should be celebrated not judged. Without the names of big actors like Mathew and Jared this film would have sat on shelves collecting dust. I as much as anyone would love to see a day where there are no more stars and are just people sharing truths but that will never happen so when moments like these happen on film we must support them and cherish them.
