He is the Comforter The Holy Spirit is foremost a divine comforter to Christians. After Jesus ministry on Earth, the Holy Spirit was sent to comfort Christians. As the Comforter and the divine Spirit of Truth, he continues today to bear witness of Jesus and anoint Christians to spread the gospel throughout the world. The Lord said in, John 15:26 says, “But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:” Here Jesus tells us who is the Holy Spirit and His purpose. The Holy Spirit through His Godly presence provides comfort and truth who continues to enable countless Christians to preach, prophesy, exercise their gifts, and speak in tongues to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world.
