He searched you and found you!! “He found him in a desert land - TopicsExpress

He searched you and found you!! “He found him in a desert land and in the wasteland, a howling wilderness” – Deuteronomy 32:10 The children of Israel were lost in the wilderness when they rebelled against God. They lost His presence and he could have rejected them but being “merciful” He searched for them and found them. Similarly, we were once lost in the wilderness of sin, sickness and sorrow but Jesus found us and saved us. Should we not be thankful to Him? While narrating the parable of the prodigal son, Jesus use the same word “found” as we read in Luke 15:32 “It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.” There is great rejoicing in heaven when a lost sinner is found! Wilderness is a barren land. There is no water, there is no vegetation, and people who pass through the wilderness have to bear the heat of the sun. They are in want very often there is no water to drink and they are thirsty. Hagar and her son were about to die of thirst but God found them. She had lost her way in the wilderness and she did not know where to go but God who found her, helped her to quench her thirst and blessed her. He wiped away her tears and her sorrow turned into Joy. Wilderness often is associated with disappointments and despair. The great prophet Elijah, was in a wilderness; He sat under a Juniper tree and prayed a prayer of total despair “……….. It is enough! Now, Lord, take my life, for am no better than my father’s!” – I Kings 19:4 Dear friend, are you passing through the desert of despair? Do not despair anymore because God has found you; He will give you the spiritual food and drink and you’ll have a new revelation about the things that you have to do for God’s glory. In spiritual sense the desert is a place of temptation, a place of discontent and murmur. The children of Israel had to pass through this place. Jesus was tempted by the devil when he was in the wilderness. Dear friend, Jesus has found you! The victorious Christ will give you victory over your temptations. Jesus “found” a man in great distress by the side of the pool called Bethesda. His limbs were totally paralyzed. He was helpless but Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up the bed and walk”, and immediately the man was made whole. Dear friend, Jesus know your sickness, he has found you. He will do a miracle for you! Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, “See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.” – John 5:14 It is true that the blood of Jesus has made you whole. You were healed by the power of Jesus. The Spirit of God is more concerned about your spiritual health and He gives you the same warning today, If you go back to your sinful ways, worse things will come upon you.
