Head coach Ange Postecoglou has today named the 30-man Socceroos preliminary squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, with almost one third of the squad containing Victorian-born players. In total, 12 Victorian clubs could see their former stars represent Australia in Brazil. They include Melbourne Knights (Franjic, Galekovic, Spiranovic), South Melbourne (Galekovic, Franjic), FC Bulleen Lions (Bresciano, Leckie), St Albans Saints (Franjic), North Geelong Warriors (Spiranovic), Langwarrin (Wright), Dandenong Thunder (Wright), Mornington (Wright), Box Hill United (Good), Nunawading City (Good), Oakleigh Cannons (Franjic) and Hume City (Davidson).
