Heard a talk show last night about neglected elderly in nursing homes....it just made me cry. Do we forget our loved ones and toss them away? One particular nursing home was being closed down....the managers just left 21 people in there. The janitor and the cook stayed around to try to help them until many days later calling 911 for help......these two did their best to feed, bath, and take care of 21 people until someone came to help.....what a disaster. When my mom was in a nursing home - briefly - one member of the family went to visit her every single day....that is the way it should be if then cannot be kept at home.....love your family every single day even it if is just through an e-mail.....we keep up with our friends, etc.....lets keep up with our aging people....that be me....kinda....
