Heard this song the other day and just felt like it needed to be shared. The world is filled with people...people who need hope! As Christians, God is intentional about putting those people in our paths. The problem is that we are not always intentional about showing them the reason for the hope we have. Whether its the waitress at you favorite restaurant, your next door neighbor, the teller at the bank, or even that guy or gal you think is just a pillar of faith. Everyone struggles from time to time; everyone has moments of doubt and fear and everyone needs a reminder. For me, this song served as a wake up call to two things: First be intentional! The people I encounter arent mere coincidences; they are people who God has put in my path. Take the time to hear them, to see through their smiles and reach into their hurting lives and give them hope. Second, be open. Far too often I get caught up in thinking that I have to be the rock and pillar. Far to often I hide behind my walls because I think that people need to see me as strong and secure. And at times they do. But they also need to see that I struggle. They need to see that I hurt. They need to know that no matter how strong they think I am, I need hope too. I pray that this song will serve you the same way it has served me. Be intentional with those around you and dont think that you dont need them to be intentional towards you as well.
